I have known Payal since 2009 and this journey has been one of Design comfort, respect and easy camaraderie….. which put together, is a perfect recipe for good design!

Payal’s petite personality conceals a dynamic and strong willed personality….. we’ve butted heads many a time! I see this  though as one of her most positive traits because this healthy involvement on her part in the design process, only benefits the end result. Her understanding of the design brief, leading to an amalgamation of functionality and style in her work and then professionally discussed and executed, is to me the hallmark of an ideal consultant.

As an Architect & Interior Designer for very design intensive, personalised homes and commercial spaces, one needs to to be surrounded by like minded people……who besides bringing professional quality to the table, also add a sense of adventure, passion and fun into the proceedings. Payal does this in spades and thereby  becomes a willing part of the whole exhilarating design process!

As a passionate designer myself, I like healthy design discussions with every member of the design team…. be it detailing, deliveries, budgeting etc…. I’ve had plenty of these heated and joyous discussions with Payal on multiple projects over the years and it would give me immense satisfaction and pleasure to see her do the same with many many more Architects, Interior Designers and Clients!

My association with Payal has now been for over a decade and this journey has been of mutual respect and value addition towards each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Payal has pushed me outside my comfort zone on multiple occasions, by recommending fabrics, wall papers and various other décor related products in the end, to only create a stunning space that would magically fit into my created design language like a hand in glove. She is very welcoming to feedback and criticism equally only to make necessary adjustments and changes immediately. Her strength is her research and her keenness in learning and experimenting with new ideas and products making her very versatile and adaptable at the same time.

What started as a professional relationship over time has now evolved into a very close association towards each other’s work ethics resulting in a team unmatched by many consultants I have tried to collaborate with in the past. I wish her the very best in all her endeavors and look forward to a lasting alliance in future.

Payal and I have known each other for about 3-5 years now, so far our interactions has been pleasing, professional and precise. Great communication skills, detail oriented and very timely. Payal and The Charcoal Team were wonderful to work with when we decided to hire them for our residential building. They spent the time to get to know us and understand our personalities and patient care philosophy. Payal, is an apt Home Décor Stylist, who not only picks out unique, attractive designs but also makes it a point to understand the client’s exact needs to replicate the room with client’s imagination. She was very helpful in exposing us to the latest trends, designs and new technologies worldwide; which in turn helped me pick out the designs when I couldn’t make a decision otherwise. And the end result was quite magical, beautiful and spotless with perfect finishing, so much so that they don’t creep around in the background anymore but stood out.

Apart from her talent, as a business woman, she is excellent at handing you over the deliverables and so is her team.
